You Are So Creative, So Create!

bold and creative

If there’s anything we know anyone can do is something. If they can’t see, they can hear. If they can’t hear, they can’t eat. If they can’t eat, they can blink. If they can’t blink, they can move an arm. If they can’t move an arm, they can smell. If they can’t smell, they can paint. If they can’t paint, they can breathe. If they can’t breathe, they can’t create. You’re breathing, so create.

Creating is something we do because we’re alive. It’s simple. But, what does “create” look like? I have a friend who once told me that she wishes she was creative. She’s capable of building computer systems and networks but not doesn’t write or act or have a self-expression. God’s gifted her with other ways to create. Creating isn’t always from an artist’s or writer’s perspective. It isn’t what we do for social media, it’s what we do in life. We are designed by a Creator, so it’s in His design that we’re creators. The problem is that most have been limited by the creativity of Social Media and don’t know how to think outside of that bubble. In fact, so many are inside the bubble that creating anything outside of it is unnoticed. It’s the movie, Wall-E. Most are living in a place where reality isn’t reality, but someone who has power, money, and influence calls it reality, and so it must be what they say.

So, instead of trying to be creative with people who don’t care to see it, the best way to do it is at home. Make food for your family, friends, and neighbors. Offer to help your sibling design their room, if they want help. Don’t offer if they’re fine with their room! Haha! Make the best of the life God has given you by doing what you can with the resources around you. Don’t try and do what someone else is doing on the Internet. Is slime the only thing to create in the world? No, it’s just what they offer in order to get your minds thinking a certain way. Bracelet and loom kits will only take you in certain directions, but they may not be where your mind needs to go. Take some time off of Social Media and spend time with God. Read, pray and listen to what He’s saying to you about Him and about you and your life. You’ll learn a lot more than you can any other way.

Be blessed, Y’all!
