If you’re feeling lost and lonely, you’re not alone. We all feel lost and lonely, at times. And many times, we live out those feelings without telling anyone. In other words, we pretend. But, we don’t have to live this way. How do we overcome loneliness?
1. Tell God that you feel lonely. This requires specific details about loneliness that you may have never wanted to tell anyone, but God can be trusted. That’s facts.
2. If you don’t know why, ask Him why do you feel lonely.
3. Ask Him to heal where you feel lonely places.
3. Whatever thoughts or memories come to mind, tell Him all the details. Cry it out to Him, if necessary. Crying to God is the safest and most fulfilling way of healing.
5. Thank God and ask Him to seal in the healing and free you from all remnants of loneliness.
Sometimes, healing happens all at once. At other times, God heals us over time. Talking it out with Him feels like talking to yourself but it’s not. You’ll get used to it. Despite how you may feel, talking to God is normal part of walking with Christ. Jesus heals, even as you talk it out. He died on the cross for us to, not only be saved, but also to have a lifelong relationship with Him, someone who truly cares. Telling Jesus about our cares and worries gives us the most peace we can ever receive on Earth. Nothing on Earth is better than knowing Jesus.
